NEW TO FORTE:
“I’ve Never Done This Before.”
My child has never danced before. Where do we start?
We’ll guide you every step of the way. Our team will help you choose the perfect class based on age, personality, and goals. No experience needed.
At what age can my child start?
We welcome dancers as young as 12 months in our Forte Foundations program.
Do I need to know what class to pick?
Not at all. We’re here to help. You can call, stop in, or register online, and we’ll make sure you feel confident in your choice.
What should my child wear to their first class?
Comfortable clothes that they can move in. We’ll guide you on the dress code after enrollment.
Can my child try a class before committing?
Yes. We offer trial classes so your child can experience Forte before enrolling.
What if my child is shy or nervous?
That’s completely normal. Our teachers are trained to create a welcoming, encouraging environment where every child feels safe and included.
THE FORTE EXPERIENCE
What makes Forte different from other studios?
At Forte, we focus on the whole child. Our classes are engaging and fun, while also building confidence, responsibility, and life skills. We are known for strong communication, a welcoming community, and teachers who truly care.
What is your teaching style?
We believe in entertaining and engaging classrooms. Students learn while having fun, staying active, and feeling supported.
How do you communicate with families?
We keep things simple and consistent through weekly updates, our Parent Hub, email, our members-only group, texting, and regular office hours so you always know what’s happening.
Can parents watch classes?
Yes. Not only do we have full access for parents and guardians to watch every class, but we also offer designated participation and observation opportunities throughout the year where families can come in to join the fun and see the growth and progress!
WHAT DOES A SEASON LOOK LIKE?
What does a typical dance season look like?
Our season runs from fall through spring and includes weekly classes, themed weeks, and a year-end recital.
What is the recital?
Our recital is a special end-of-season performance where students get to shine on stage and celebrate their hard work.
Is participation in the recital required?
While not required, most families choose to participate because it’s such a memorable and exciting experience for the students.
How do you prepare students for the recital?
We guide them step-by-step with in-class practice, in-studio rehearsals, and clear communication so everyone feels prepared and confident.
GROWTH & PATHWAYS
What happens as my child grows?
We offer a clear path from first-step classes all the way through advanced training and performing groups.
Do you have performance or competition opportunities?
Yes. We offer several performing group options for dancers who want more opportunities, starting as young as age 4, with no audition required.
What if my child wants to be more serious about dance?
We’ll guide you into the next level that fits your child’s goals, whether that’s additional classes or joining a performing group.
Can my child do dance just for fun
Absolutely. Many of our students dance recreationally and love being part of the Forte family.
